Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

After a fun afternoon at the Grove, we were on the hunt for some good eats. The Farmers Market has TONS of options but walking by Noodle Art, we caught some fresh noodle pulling and tossed right into the pot in the back and ***HAD*** to try the fresh noodles made on-the-spot. Trust me, the wait is worth it + the line moves pretty fast thanks to the amazing Angela at the counter taking orders and announcing your number as soon as your bowls of goodness are ready for pickup. I had to get their top seller Three Toppings Fat Noodles and since I'm trying to increase my proteins servings -- I chose braised pork belly, short ribs and brisket. I also got to try hub's stir-fried Shrimp handmade skinny noodle in cumin sauce. Sooooo tasty, I may or may not have had more than a few chopsticks bites LOL! the perk of food sharing ;-) The Cumin Beef hamburger was interesting to try. I've had scallion pancake bun filled versions before, so the plain "muffin bun" was nicely toasted tho I'm partial to scallion pancake buns. Love how bouncy and chewy the fresh handmade noodles are at Noodle Art! Definitely have to come back to try more noodles on the menu. SYOY! ^_^

Noodle Art was one of the more interesting food choices we found inside the Original Farmers Market. You can see the focus on handmade noodles right away, and I liked that there were different noodle shapes and thicknesses to choose from. The wide noodles had a really satisfying chew and held the sauce well. The dish had a good mix of spicy, savory, and refreshing flavors, especially with the cucumber on top. It felt more distinctive than a standard noodle bowl and was a nice change after trying several of the more traditional market vendors. The pork-filled flatbread was also very good. It was crispy, warm, and packed with flavorful meat, almost like a Chinese-style sandwich. Between that and the noodles, the meal was filling enough, although the noodle portion alone might not be enough for someone with a big appetite. Service was quick and friendly, and the casual counter setup makes it easy to stop by while exploring the market. Seating can be crowded during busy times since the tables are shared with the other vendors. A solid 4-star experience. The fresh noodle texture is what makes this place stand out, and I would come back to try one of the other hand-pulled noodle dish

Fantastic flavors. I saw two girls having this dish and looked so good I came back thr next day to try. The staff are very welcoming which is a plus. I had the Signature Dry Noodles. I have had similar dishes while in China and this is highly comfortable. Handmade noodles were perfectly cooked. The chicken was perfectly spiced. I had the 3rd level of spice which was perfect. Choices 10/10. Quality 10/10. Flavors 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Staff customer service 10/10. I highly recommend and as a local Indian will be back.

Their handmade noodles are so goodβ€”they have the perfect texture! I tried some of their best-selling dishes, and my favorite was the Qishan Style Noodle Soup. I loved its hot and sour flavor! Their No.1 bestseller is the Three Toppings Spicy Handmade Noodles with Pepper Oil, but honestly, I liked the Qishan Style even more.

Noodle Art at the Farmers Market at The Grove is such a great find if you’re craving fresh, handmade noodles. Everything tasted super authentic and full of bold flavor. We ordered both versions of the braised beef noodle soup, one spicy and one clear broth. The beef was really tender and the noodles had the perfect chewy texture. The spicy broth had a nice kick, while the clear soup was rich and comforting. We also tried the Chinese pork hamburger and it was so good. The bun was soft with a slight crisp and the pork filling was juicy and flavorful. I can see why the chef’s top picks include the braised beef noodle soup, the three toppings spicy handmade noodle with pepper oil, and the stir fried handmade noodle in cumin sauce. Definitely want to come back and try more like the Qishan style noodle soup and the vegetable and egg stir fried noodles. If you’re at The Grove and want something warm, satisfying, and high quality, this spot is worth checking out.
